DEVELOPMENTAL DIVISIONS
U5 and U6
Teams usually practice once or twice a week and have an eight-game season, beginning end of August with games scheduled for September through October. Games are played on micro fields with small goals in a 4v4 format with no goalies. Emphasis is on improving basic skills and having fun, developing their comfort with the ball, encouraging them to grow on the field, and learning the dynamics of a team sport. Teams are encouraged not to keep score. All games are refereed by parent volunteers.

U7 and U8
This program is designed to offer young players as an introduction and a little more focus and skill with the ball while having fun and learning a team sport. Practices are generally held twice a week and teams play on larger fields in a 6v6 format with goalkeepers. Eight games are scheduled during the season against teams from other southeast area clubs. Focus is continuing improvement on basic skills as well as positions and teamwork. All games are refereed by parent volunteers.

U9 and U10 Developmental
Teams practice twice a week and play on a field big enough for an 8v8 format with goalkeepers. Eight games are played against teams from other southeast area clubs. Focus is continuing improvement on basic skills as well as positions and teamwork. All games are refereed by certified CYS referees and by parent volunteers.

U9 and U10 Option 1 Intermediate
CYS Option 1 League for U9 and U10 and older teams. U9-U10 will play 8v8 and U11 and older option will play 11v11. Colorado Youth Soccer offers a state league for those committed players and teams looking for a higher level of competition and travel. The aim of this program is to provide a soccer experience that meets the needs of the majority of young players in the Aurora and surrounding areas. For the U10 age group, this is an intermediate level that prepares players for competitive levels. For teams that do not wish to go competitive, they can continue to play option 1.
